Advanced professional certification | Experiential | Practice-based | ICF-aligned
Certified Connection-Centred Transformative Coach (CCTC)
What is the Certified Connection-Centred Transformative Coach (CCTC) certification?
The Certified Connection-Centred Transformative Coach (CCTC) is CCI’s advanced-level professional coaching certification.CCTC is designed for coaches who already have a strong foundation in core coaching skills and want to deepen how they work with people, not just what they work on.
In addition to more advanced techniques and approaches, CCTC expands the coach’s capacity — to stay present with complexity, work with identity and emotion, and facilitate meaningful, sustainable change.
This is coaching beyond surface-level problem solving. This is coaching for transformation.
Professional standards and assessment
CCTC certification is awarded through demonstrated coaching competence, not attendance alone. Assessment includes:
- observed coaching sessions
- mentor coaching sessions (1:1 and group)
- an oral examination
- 100 real coaching practicum hours
- evaluation against ICF ACC/PCC performance markers
This ensures graduates meet a clear professional standard and can coach ethically and competently in real-world contexts.
Who is CCTC for?
CCTC is suited for:
- Certified Associate Coaches (CAC)
- Coaches with equivalent foundational training
- Practitioners already coaching and seeking depth and mastery
- Leaders and facilitators using coaching at a high level
CCTC is not an introductory program. Participants are expected to coach, reflect, and engage with themselves as part of the learning process. This ensures a cohort of peers ready for deeper work.
How CCTC builds on CAC
CAC establishes professional coaching competence. CCTC expands range, depth, and flexibility.
In CAC, the focus is on:
- coaching structure
- ethical practice
- core competencies
In CCTC, the focus shifts to:
- coaching the whole person to facilitate lasting transformation
- working with identity, values, and inner patterns
- responding skilfully to emotion, resistance, and uncertainty
This is not just about being a “better” coach. It is about meeting a wider range of human experience with presence and skill.
Connection-Centred Transformative Coaching
CCTC is grounded in CCI’s Connection-Centred Transformative CoachingTM methodology. This approach integrates three interrelated dimensions:
Nurturing Nature
Working with values, purpose, strengths, and identity — supporting who the client is becoming, not just what they are doing.
Shifting States
Working consciously with perspective, embodiment, and inner state — enabling new choices, energy, and action to emerge.
Integration
Helping clients translate insight into lived change, commitment, and aligned action.
These dimensions inform how coaches listen, intervene, and hold presence throughout the coaching relationship.
What you'll develop
Through CCTC, you’ll develop the ability to:
- coach beyond content into identity and meaning
- notice and work with emotional undercurrents
- use embodiment and state-based awareness skilfully
- reflect back patterns and implicit material
- stay present with ambiguity and not-knowing
- facilitate insight that leads to sustained change
- be conscious about how you are as a coach, not just what you do.
How you'll learn
CCTC is deeply experiential and practice-based. You’ll learn through:
- live coaching with feedback
- embodied and reflective exercises
